John Groves on contemporary music production
John Groves' lecture focuses on music production in advertisement and commercial communication. He will present a glossary of past and current nomenclature in studio terminology and shed light in the possibilities and confinement of the music computer. He also aims to draw the line from the concept to global distribution of music production.
John Gloves is one of the pioneers in sound branding and looks after the strategic development of acoustic sound idents since the 1990s. Mr. Groves worked as a composer and music producer in music for commercials (Mentos, Bacardi, Gerolsteiner, DEA, Visa, Audi, Wrigley's, etc.). He uses this professional experiences to enhance his lecture. In addition, John Groves is the president of the Composers Club e.V., vice-president of FFACE (Federation of Film & Audiovisual Composers of Europe) and a member of the Art Directors Club and the GV. In the past, Mr. Groves held lectures at Radio Days, Hamburg und Design, the Miami Ad School and Texterschmiede.
