John Tilbury on Morton Feldman

Silence and sound are the legacy of John Cage and the elements out of which Morton Feldman (1926-1987) created his dynamic-static sounds. John Tilbury (*1936), since 1979 permanent member of the legendary British improv-group AMM (with Keith Rowe and Eddie Prevost), is mostly known for being an outstanding interpreter of contemporary piano pieces. He is a master of the quiet piano sound and also a charismatic orator. John Tilbury reported about his intense collaboration with Feldman and played pieces of his piano work.
