Tina Frank on still and moving images
Stills turn into moving images. Moving images turn into stills. Tina Frank shows her mode of working and the creative process between stills and moving images, when they are influenced by musical parameters.

 

Since 1995, Tina Frank has been living and working as a graphic designer and artist in Vienna. She has her roots in web design and the design of record covers for experimental electronic music. In 2006, her video chronomops was awarded first prize at the Diagonale film festival as the best experimental, animated or short film. She is co-founder of the firm U.R.L. Agentur für Informationsdesign GmbH in Wien & Berlin and the design office designby frank scheikl, and since 2007 has headed the creative studio Tina Frank Design. The main focus of her work lies in the area of corporate design, web design, and orientation systems, and in the experimental field of music visualisation. Tina Frank is listed in "Graphic Design for the 21st Century", published by the Taschen Verlag, among the top 100 graphic designers worldwide. Since October 2008,
Tina Frank has been head of the Graphic Design and Photography Department at Linz University of Artistic and Industrial Design.
