wefadetogrey on the RED camera and its workflow
Swen Linde and Andre Paulssen from the Cologne-based post-production company wefadetogrey are talking about the "Rote Revolution" (Red Revolution) of the 21st century, or, like their favourite DIT likes to call it, Madame Rouge.
The "Red Revolution" was initiated by the very rich and visionary former owner of the Oakley-company. The US-American citizen developed a film camera, far away from the global players of the international film industry, that features everything a "regular" camera has for a much smaller price. The name of this wonder-product: RED ONE, on red.com.
This revolutionary tool has reached Europe and is changing the European film and video business just like it changed the scene in the US. Consequences are new jobs and work processes on one hand, dying formats on the other. wefadetogrey studied this revolutionary technology from very early on. Their take on RED ONE is visionary and thus, their use of this new tool far up front.
Swen Linde and Andre Paulssen will give an inside view into their work and discuss this new, revolutionary technology and its consequences for the film industry.
