Wolfgang Stach on music production as a balancing act

Music productions are a balancing act between customers, artists and creativity, says Wolfgang Stach.

In his lecture Wolfgang Stach will give a report on his experience of everyday life in a professional studio: What are the various requirements as a commissioned producer or project developer? What skills are demanded when working with an artistic personality and how can a professional sound studio still manage to be profitable?

In addition, Wolfgang Stach gives insights into his technological concepts and experiences.

For more than 20 years he has been an independent music producer, sound engineer and runs the famous Maarweg Studio 2 in Cologne. In this time he has worked as a commissioned producer for the music industry as well as in the field of artist development. As a producer he was employed, for example, by Guano Apes, Such a Surge, BAP, Bosse, Karpatenhund, Jupiter Jones, Gunter Gabriel and for various jazz productions.
