The official cooperation contract between the Escuela Politécnica Superior de Gandia of Universidad Politécnica de Valencia (Audio/

Visual Communication studies) and the Institute For Music And Media at the University of Music Düsseldorf was signed 2006 by the deans of both institutions.

Students from the Institute For Music And Media collaborate in projects of the Academy of Media Arts by contributing in the realization of film and multimedia work.

The Institute For Music And Media and the Film Academy Baden-Wuerttemberg have mutually signed a cooperation agreement in 2003. Many graduation films have been developed with the help and assistance of students from Duesseldorf.

The cooperation between Utrecht School of the Arts and Institute For Music And Media at the University of Music Düsseldorf was offically signed by their headmasters in 2006.

In 2007 the University of Music Duesseldorf and the Northeastern University in Boston signed a cooperation agreement, regarding their Music and Media Departments. The universities agreed on exchanging students and faculty members. Plans for future cooperation projects have also been made.

Our Institute has an informal but very intense collaboration with the program Camera within the Design Department of the University of Applied Sciences Dortmund: The cameramen from Dortmund acquire the audio people from Duesseldorf and vice versa.

The University of Applied Sciences Duesseldorf has been a long lasting co-operation partner of the Institute For Music And Media within the joint program Audio and Video Engineering.
