IMM student Julian David produced, recorded and mixed four songs in stereo and 5.1 surround with the trio of the Duesseldorf percussionist Andy Gillmann. The production was supervised by IMM professor Werner Roth and took place in the IMM's sound control 2. The track Red Baron was awarded third place in the Recording Competition of the 125th AES Convention in San Francisco in the stereo jazz/blues category. A surround mix of another track won second place in the non-classical surround category. For the production, the German sales department of DPA Microphones, Mega Audio, provided a couple of premium miniature microphones. IMM student Andrew Mottl assisted in the recording, IMM student and Time Tools engineer Alex Kloss was responsible for the stereo mastering.
