Jeder für sich
Jeder für Sich (Everyone for Himself) was created as an Video 2 exam by IMM student Johan Leenders, which he co-directs with his brother Philip, under Professor Manfred Waffender. The film music was also composed by the two brothers. The 75-minute film looks at the generation of the 18 to 35-year-olds, asking about their problems and anxieties, their hopes and dreams, and whether they have a common generational feeling.
People of different age groups talk about how it feels to live today, in a time of media abundance and economic uncertainty. Is it possible in a situation like this for people to develop a sense of belonging together, or is it still a case of Jeder für Sich? The excerpt shown here is the first 18 minutes of the film.
