Music and Audiovisual Media

The aim of the Music and Audiovisual Media major is to impart technical, design and artistic skills. The practical handling of modern recording equipment and access to well-equipped post-production units allows the students to create their own audiovisual products. Besides the ability to critically assess recordings, TV programmes and films, the students also develop their own mode of artistic expression.

Audiovisual self-portraits

First name, surname in 3 minutes - an audiovisual self-portrait: That was the title of the exam assignment in the major Music and Audiovisual Media in the 2010/11 winter semester. The task consisted of the conceptual design, realisation and presentation of a three-minute self-portrait using audiovisual media. It could be a film for Vimeo or Youtube, an audiovisual intro for the person's own website, part of a digital business card or a three-minute self-portrait for a fictional television programme whose concept includes young musicians/artists introducing themselves.
