The Faktory
"With his new sound recording, Felix Rösch succeeds in giving added acoustic intensity to what is in fact a complex story with great lightness and flowing continuity. He combines music generated on acoustic instruments with electronic sounds in an organic manner and with great musicality. His composition supports the dynamic of the images in a highly promising and ultimately entertaining manner."
These are the reasons given by the high-calibre jury (including Hollywood composer John Frizzell, Lola prizewinner Niki Reiser and Marcel Barsotti, composer of Pope Joan) to award the European film music prize New Sound in European Film to IMM student Felix Rösch.
Felix Rösch composed and produced a new film score for the animated film The Faktory, a work by French director and video designer Yann J. The competition was held for the sixth time as part of SoundTrack_Cologne, the Cologne congress and festival devoted to music and sound in films and the media.
