4TRACK

Electrons have been driven through cables to produce music for 120 years, and musicians are still being asked questions like, "Are you making music or just checking your email?" IMM students Corbinian Beitelstein and Fabian Schulz forwarded this and other questions to artists and experts in the field of electronic music. 4TRACK, the result of their work, unites various generations and genres of electronic music from Düsseldorf. At an April 2011 performance in the Salon des Amateurs, which was simultaneously a technical examination for their finals in the Audio and Video Engineering program, they utilised the medium of Live Cinema.

The final year project was supervised by Professor Dr Karin Welkert-Schmitt (FHD) and IMM Professor Manfred Waffender.
