Herbie Hancock's title I thought it was you received a new interpretation in 2008 in a production by Jonathan Hoffmann. The recording was mixed in 5.1 Surround Sound. The project was carried out as an Elective Artistic Subject under the supervision of Professor Werner Roth and Xaver Fischer. Alongside Jonathan Hoffmann (composition, voice, synthesizer, saxophone, percussion programming, recording, processing and mixing), IMM students Janosch Brenneisen (percussion) and Matthias Maschwitz (recording assistance) as well as Alexander Steininger (electric bass) and Marlies Hoffmann (voice) were also involved.
