Maximilian Marcoll, born 1981, studied drums from 1992 until 1997 and composition, with Friedhelm Döhl from 1997 until 2001 at Musikhochschule Luebeck. He resolved his studies with Thomas Neuhaus, Dietrich Hahne and Günter Steinke at Folkwang School, Essen, from 2001 until 2006.
He recieved a Folkwang Fellowship in 2005 and the Lizt Award in Weimar in 2006.
While working as a composer, Mr. Marcoll developed software since 2002 (max.objects, COOPER, etc).
He teaches at the Institute For Music And Media and the University of Duesseldorf since 2007.
